Frequently asked questions
Everything about bidding, paying and picking up at BidBox. Can't find it? Contact us.
1 Bidding & account setup
Do I need an account to bid?
Yes. Creating an account is free and takes under a minute. You'll add a payment card before placing your first bid so winning invoices can be settled quickly.
How does bidding work?
Every lot opens at $1 and rises in $1 increments. Enter the most you're willing to pay and the system bids on your behalf, only as much as needed to keep you in the lead, up to your max.
What is a soft close?
If a bid is placed in the final two minutes, the clock extends so everyone has a fair chance to respond. Auctions end only when two minutes pass with no new bids.
Can I cancel a bid?
Bids are binding. Please review photos and condition notes before bidding. If you made a genuine error, contact us immediately and we'll do our best to help before the lot closes.
How will I know if I win or get outbid?
You'll get an email, and a text if you've enabled outbid alerts, the moment your bid is beaten. Winners receive an invoice by email shortly after the auction closes.
2 Payments, taxes & fees
What do I pay on top of my winning bid?
A buyer's premium and applicable Arizona sales tax are added to each invoice. The exact rates are shown on every lot page and invoice before you pay. The demo uses sample rates.
How do I pay?
Pay online from your account with the card on file, or at the counter when you pick up. Online payment unlocks your pickup pass straight away.
When is payment due?
Invoices are due within the pickup window, seven days from issue. Unpaid, uncollected lots may be relisted and the bidding privileges of the account reviewed.
Can I combine multiple wins on one invoice?
Yes. Lots won in the same auction day are grouped onto a single invoice automatically, so you make one payment and one trip.
3 Pickup & location
Where do I pick up?
BidBox Auctions, 7734 E Pecos Rd, Building C, Mesa, AZ 85212. Park in front of Building C and bring your pickup pass and a photo ID to the counter.
Do you ship?
No. All lots are local pickup only. That's part of how we keep prices so low.
What are the pickup hours?
Hours are listed on your pickup pass and in your account. The demo shows sample hours; the live site should list the warehouse's current schedule.
Can someone else collect for me?
Yes. Add a pickup contact in your account settings or forward them your pickup pass. They'll need their own photo ID.
Will you help load large items?
Our team can help you to your vehicle, but please bring a vehicle that fits the item and any straps or blankets you need. Check the dimensions on the lot page.
4 Item conditions & returns
What do the condition grades mean?
New: sealed or unused with original packaging. Like New: opened and inspected, complete and working. Open Box / May Be Missing Parts: opened, may have handling marks or be missing minor accessories. Used: previously owned with visible wear, tested where noted.
Are items tested?
We power on and visually inspect items where practical and note the result on the lot page. Anything marked "not tested" is sold without a function guarantee.
What is your return policy?
Lots are sold as-is. If an item is materially different from its listing, tell us at the counter before you leave and we'll make it right. Once an item leaves the warehouse, it's yours.
Where do the items come from?
Retailer overstock, shelf pulls and customer returns from national brands. Every piece is checked in and graded by our warehouse team before it's listed.
